Volunteering
The Open Door Art Studio is thankful to have dedicated volunteers who support our goals, vision and mission to provide meaningful opportunities through individualized education and mentoring, assisting each artist to reach their full potential.
Volunteers provide vital support and are the key to success for Open Door. The talent and skills of our volunteers compliments the quality of our programs. The potential of the adults and children that participate in our programs is complimented and developed through volunteer contributions.
A variety of volunteer opportunities are available to those ages 13 and above, including students who need service hours. Open Door also offers an internship program for college students majoring in visual arts. Internships require a minimum of 120 hours and the work experience must be relevant to the student's studies. Volunteers are guided through an informative orientation class and provided with ongoing skill development.
We are always interested in hearing from creative minded individuals who can assist in the following areas:
- Artistic Instruction
- Product Construction / Development
- Customer Service
- Off-site Sales and Festivals
- Visual Merchandising

- Website Design / Management
Columbus Center for Human Services Inc. offers several volunteer
