Open Door Art Studio welcomes dedicated volunteers who support our goals, vision and mission to provide meaningful opportunities through individualized education and mentoring, assisting each artist to reach their full potential.
A variety of volunteer opportunities are available to those ages 13 and above, including students who need service hours. Open Door also offers an internship programs for college students majoring in visual arts or a related field.
Volunteer hours are available Tuesday through Friday 10:30 to 4:30 and for special events and off-site shows and festivals. Volunteers are guided through an informative orientation class and provided with ongoing skill development. Volunteers can utilize their skills in different areas in the studio such as, but not limited to:
Studio Volunteers: Share your skills and have fun working directly with the studio artists. Studio volunteers support our artists and help prep and maintain art materials and equipment.
Gallery and Gift Shop support: Help prepare our gallery for exhibitions, assist with special events/openings, marketing and customer service.
Production support: Preparing and finishing art materials and products.
