Open Door Art Studio welcomes dedicated volunteers who support our goals, vision and mission to provide meaningful opportunities through individualized education and mentoring, assisting each artist to reach their full potential.

A variety of volunteer opportunities are available to those ages 13 and above, including students who need service hours. Open Door also offers an internship programs for college students majoring in visual arts or a related field.

Open Door requests that those interested in volunteering can commit to at least three consecutive months, volunteering no less than six hours each month. This six hours can break down several different ways to fit into your schedule.

Volunteer hours are available Tuesday through Friday 10:30 to 4:30 and for special events. Volunteers will help with meaningful work and receive ongoing skill development. Volunteers can utilize their skills in different areas in the studio such as, but not limited to:

Studio Volunteers: Share your skills and have fun working directly with the studio artists. Studio volunteers support our artists and help prep and maintain art materials and equipment.

Gallery Support: Help prepare our gallery for exhibitions, assist with special events/openings, marketing and customer service.

Production Support: Preparing and finishing art materials and products.
