Darrell Miller creates elaborate drawings and paintings, often of animals or flowers.
Since Darrel is deaf, visual art is a wonderful way for him to communicate his ideas.
He is definitely his own worst critic and has high standards for his creations.
He goes through a very lengthy process of drawing, erasing and redrawing an image.
When he has finally perfected his drawing he is very excited to see it become a painting.
Although his process is laborious, Darrell doesn’t seem to mind.
His patience and perseverance are apparent to anyone who sees him work.
When not at the studio Darrell is an avid basketball player and enjoys hanging out with his friends.
